Eww Yuck

I am learning to inform my audience by sharing an entertaining moment.

Sob! Oh why did she have to pack the worst snack ever!!! It was a beautiful sunny day and we were at the park but for me it was horrorland! I knew what my mum had in that picnic basket! I also knew why she had it there- she thought I liked it but no I did not. I was only two-years-old and at the time I hated banana and I still do!

As I was playing on the swings I saw my mum pull out a container full of yellow, lumpy, mushy, banana! Ahhh! The putrid smell stung my nose. I hope thats my Dad’s afternoon tea- not mine. Honestly I can’t understand why mum would pack banana! Maybe I could have a sandwich or something instead.

Mum took out a spoon and opened the container. “Why does the smell get stronger just because mum opened the container?” I asked myself because I was a curiose two-year-old. But wait- mum and dad were smiling and talking to each other! “Phew,” I said. That must be for them, or so I thought. A minute later mum called me over “Maxine, after-noon tea time!”. Uh oh! I came over because I had no choice.

I looked inside the container. Ewwwwwwww! Mushy banana! I could see the banana sloshing around trying to get out because it thought elil was coming. I will not, can not, should not, eat that slimy thing. Mum was silly to pack that because she did not know what was coming, and she nor daddy would like it.

Mum fed me the banana. My taste buds screamed and complained about it .Then I did something I never would have imagined in my wildest dreams. I spat out the banana right onto mum and dad then ran away covering my mouth. “Maxine Meimei Barry you are grounded” .Oh well- at least I didn’t have to eat banana, aye.
